PRIVACY NOTICE FOR APPLICANTS

Thank you for choosing Teleperformance (“TP”) as your employer of choice.  This short notice  is a reminder that TP processes your personal data in many ways to support your job application.

We process the information that you have supplied to facilitate the processing of your application for employment, including recruitment administration, and background and/or reference checks in order for us to comply with our legal obligations and to further our legitimate business interests in evaluating you for a position with our company.

The personal data that you have submitted may be shared internally between, among others, members of the recruitment and HR teams, hiring managers and/or clients of a business area where there is a vacancy, operations personnel, and IT/Security team members in performing  their functions. Where we consider it necessary or appropriate for the recruitment process and data storage, we may share such personal data with our affiliates, subsidiaries, recruitment partners, clients and external organizations (background checking providers in the conduct of background and/or reference checks to determine suitability for employment) within or outside the Philippines.

We may collect information through other sources for processing and evaluating your application for employment. If your application is successful, the personal data submitted shall form part of your employment records which shall be kept by the individual site HR in a secure location and in the CCMS (Contact Center Management System). If your application is unsuccessful, TP may keep your personal data on file for Ninety (90) days in case there are future employment opportunities for which your skills and/or qualifications may be suited as well as for data analysis purposes. All relevant personal data will be disposed of after this time. 

As a data subject, you have a number of rights relating to your personal data, such as the right to be informed, access, object, erasure or blocking, damages, rectify, data portability, and to file a complaint with the regulatory authority. APPLICANT PERSONAL DATA CONSENT FORM

Teleperformance (“TP”) is committed to the respect of the privacy and protection of your personal data. The information you have provided in the application form along with the submitted resumé/curriculum vitae, interview and third-party data may be used and processed by or on behalf of TP for purposes related to the processing of your application for employment.

For the personal information of the contact person of your previous employer and/or references given in your application, you undertake that appropriate consent to share their personal data with TP has been secured by you, andthat you have specified to them the purpose for which you are sharing their contact details.

The main purpose why we process your personal data is to facilitate the processing of your application for employment. In furtherance of this, we will be processing your personal sensitive information which pertains to your: marital status, age, individual’s health, educational attainment, Tax Identification Number, Social Security Number, Pag-IBIG Number, PhilHealth Number and tax returns which we would need to process for a number of purposes, such as but not limited to recruitment administration, and background and/or reference checks in order for us to comply with legal obligations and to further our legitimate business interests in evaluating you for a position with the company.

We are seeking your consent for those limited purposes when we process sensitive personal information where under the law consent is required.

We will use personal information such as your mobile number and/or email address to contact you during the recruitment process.  TP may also collect information through other sources for processing and evaluating your application for employment. All personal data held by TP relating to your job application will be kept strictly confidential.

The personal data that you have submitted may be shared internally between, among others,  members of the recruitment and HR teams, hiring managers and/or clients of a business area where there is a vacancy, operations personnel, and IT/Security team members in  performance their functions. Where we consider it necessary or appropriate for the recruitment process and data storage, we may share such personal data with our affiliates, subsidiaries, recruitment partners, clients and external organizations (background checking providers in the conduct of background and/or reference checks to determine suitability for employment) within or outside the Philippines who would be under duty of care to maintain the appropriate levels or security and confidentiality and only use the information as instructed by TP.

If your application is successful, the personal data submitted shall form part of your employment records which shall be kept by the individual site HR in a secure location and in the CCMS (Contact Center Management System). If your application is unsuccessful, TP may keep your personal data on file for Ninety (90) days in case there are future employment opportunities for which your skills and/or qualifications may be suited as well as for data analysis purposes. As set forth in this consent and the Privacy Notice for Applicants (accessible here), in accordance with relevant privacy laws, and further to the above, TP sends personal data to other countries and processes specific sensitive personal information, and you consent to this processing.

Should you decide to withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data during the recruitment process, TP can validly refuse to proceed with your job application and you will no longer be considered for employment with TP.

As a data subject, you have rights relating to your personal data, such as the right:

• To be Informed about any processing of your personal data.
• To Access any and all data that we may have on you. However, we may charge you for the reproduction costs.
• To Object to the processing of your personal data, in general or for a particular purpose. In addition, if we use your personal data for a different purpose than what was originally communicated and collected, we will ask for your consent to process the data for this new purpose, and you have the right to object to the same.
• To Erasure or Blocking if you no longer want us to process your data, withdraw your data from our system, or you want all your personal data in our possession destroyed, provided, that any of the circumstances enumerated under Section 34(e)(1) of the DPA are present.
• To Rectify if any personal data we have on you is inaccurate or wrong, you have the right to have it corrected immediately, unless your request is vexatious or otherwise unreasonable.
• To Data Portability whichallows you to obtain and electronically move, copy, or transfer your personal data in a secure manner for further use. Note, that we may charge you for the reproduction costs if you choose to exercise this right.
• ToDamages if you suffered damages due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained or unauthorized use of personal data, or other violation of your rights and freedoms as data subject.
• To File a Complaint if you feel that your personal information has been misused, maliciously disclosed, or improperly handled, or that any of your data privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission through their website: https://privacy.gov.ph.
